This picture came across my facebook today. It's a Canadian Forces soldier shaving in the field in 1971. The Razor appears to be some variant of the Gillette Super Speed. I just thought it was such a great picture.

Great photo. The razor looks like it has 'ring' above the user's forefinger. Perhaps a Gillette Adjustable similar to this one.
Since we're sharing, here's one I always liked, more for the caption on the back than for the picture itself. Frequenters of a shave blog that shall remain nameless might recognize it.

I sure hope he sterilized that blade.
Perhaps he first killed a russian bear with it first and shaved that guy afterwards and as an cherry on top used Vodka as aftershave.
