Chrome vs stainless vs platinum

What's the deal between these and what seems to get the most love?

I find it varies somewhat by brand.I like both Platinum and Stainless.Platinum for me gives a smooth feel to the blade .Stainless seems to give a little more feedback for me.But I think the overall quality of the brand is just as important as the blade coating.

Coating claims are as confusing as food claims.
Also, one coating is not exclusive of the other.
Get a Derby and you get them all.

Purely marketing and nothing more.

I don't really notice an actual difference per-se, some blades are just good and others are not.

Marketing hype. No real difference, IMHO.

I'm not that experienced with either material. I cannot say.

I love that Derby extra, lol...it covers all the angles, lol...

I personally haven't noticed any difference between stainless and chrome. However, I prefer some blades that have a platinum coating.
