What's new

Family Portrait

I collect and use both vintage and modern fountain pens. The main focus of my collection are Esterbrooks. I collect and use Esterbrooks as my daily writers.

Esterbrooks, are have great steel nibs. For the majority of those nibs are smooth writers. You can swap out nibs at any time.

I collect Esterbrooks, because the outlay of money won't break the bank. Their are exceptions of higher priced models like the CH (Nurses Pen) in pastel or an Icicle model. Unlike their competition of that era, the celluloid normally remains pristine over time.

Most Esterbrooks sold upwards to $3. depending what nib you purchased. They were known as the working man's pen.

One of my newest purchases another Dollar one is en route.

Luv me some Esties, I have several of the mainstream varieties. So far my favorite Esterbrook nib is the 2314 M oblique stub.

Now half as wise
I currently have a silver and copper inked, on my desk. Like the two at the top left.

Nice collection.

Here's a part of my family, please excuse the quick photo. I need to bring them all out for a portrait someday.
