thanks I almost ordered the 3/2 also but held off.
To those of you who are still on the fence, these are moving out pretty quickly.
Wanted the Style 1 Size 2 but they sold out before I got home, so I got a Style 3 Size 1 in Ivory 
I prefer smaller brushes, so I just pulled the trigger on a style 1 size 1 in Ebony.
Has anyone received theirs yet?? As long as the wonderful post office actually decides to do their job mine are scheduled to b here tomm...

This is my first 'good' brush from one if the bigger named makers (except my plisson synth).
The thing I noticed right away is that the knot is much more dense than the other badgers I own.
I could really tell a difference when face lathering vs my cheaper badgers. I had one or two hairs that came out, but nothing like a no name shedder I've had in the past. I think that's normal anyway.

The denser knot is the Rooney 3/2, the less dense is a well known HMW knot.
Got these from the postman today!
Bought a 3/1 in silvertip today. Couldn't pass it up for $62 shipped.
My 1/3 arrived Thursday and I used that night. I'm pleased with it but my observation is it's a bit scritchy for a silvertip. Density is great, fit and finish excellent, and it bloomed beautifully. If this thread remains active I'll post a pic later.

I have not, but after using the S1S2 in Super I just got the pure is gonna be SCRITCHY.
So does that mean the Super had a bit more scritch than you had anticipated?
Bought a #2 Ivory. All the 1's and 3's are gone....

Yeah, first use was comparable to Simpson Best. I didn't soak it first, so may try that next time before I use it.
I've used the pure. Scritchiest knot I have ever tried. Only get one if you like a lot of scritch.
Yeah, The size I wanted was gone, I thought the whole group was. I'll be glad to get mine. the 2 looks cool, always wanted a premium silvertip.
