Thank you! Though I have to say it's hard to take a bad photo of Mt Rainier or Mono Lake, no matter what kind of camera it is, so I can't take too much credit.

This weekend, with the cell, didn't carry the camera as the trip was sort of spur of the moment...

These are nice pictures. I remember the days when "cell phone shots" meant blurry, grainy pictures. Not anymore!

More from oakland. This one was a handheld planographic. I was on Ohio time and everyone I knew was asleep when I woke up
At 7 am Ohio time. This one was a little later in the day. I can't find the night ones. Must have deleted it

Pretty simple actually. It's the only view I get at work, the view from the kitchen when I get my coffee. It has been raining regularly over the last week here in Taipei, and while the coffee machine is doing its thing I find it relaxing to look out of the window and watch the rain. Occasionally a scene or view catches my eye.

In this case all I did was place the phone (HTC Butterfly), very close to the window and focus on the raindrops. Then I ran the photos through a couple of filters to improve sharpness, contrast, and saturation (but nothing extreme).

Very good colour balance on that landscape, despite the burned out exposure in the clouds.

Cell phone cameras cannot replace high end digital cameras (with a large dynamic range and good metering) yet.

Bicycles and canals. This thread is getting better!
