What's new

E.C. Simmons Royal Keen Kutter

I've got two that are very good. Mine are branded differently, and made in Germany (common practice, German made rebrands for American companies).

Yours looks to be a Sheffield build to me, without any reason to support the claim on my part, beyond intuition. I say hone and go, no clean up on the blade at all. I'd personally leave the honest patina it's acquired over the years.

And it it looks like you got a great price on it.

Thanks KW Driver.
I'm a Peterbilt driver myself, but I still respect your opinion. Lol

It just came in the post today and it's in really great shape. It'll be an easy restore. Here's some pics.

It's in need of a good honing. Who's the man that you guys send your blades to? I tried it myself but frankly I just don't have the technique or patience to do a bang up job.
Any recommendations?
