Boker Elite 6/8 with carbon fiber scales! A great looking razor that also shaves very close and well! I like this Boker and it is my first Boker ever. I am sure more to come.

Almost pulled the trigger on the Elite horn scaled variant, but had to put money elsewhere.
Recently, learned that Böker is eliminating horn scales from their line. If you have means of comparison, how does it balance in hand, horn vs. carbon fiber scales?

Thanks folks! To answer BlackGold............no way to compare. I thought the carbon may be a bit light and the balance off due to a stout 6/8 razor. But in effect the scales are fairly thick and balanced well. I wish I had a horn scale version too but can't justify another razor of same model.

Love the shape of the blade. The thumb notch and spine swoop are just great lines.
I'm not sure about the "stop making" part but I do know that they are having a serious problem with the horn separating from the SS liner. A large percentage are being returned to them because of the separation issue.
I've got horn scales on mine. I guess I've had it a couple of years. No problems so far. Is an extremely good razor IMHO.
and it defies gravity! Just kidding, it's a great looking razor! I hope to get a thumb notch one day
