Just beautiful! This Snake Razor - of which I just published a video about its making - is simply amazing. Impeccably honed by Mastro Livi, it delivers the best shave. Not just an incredible joy to see and to hold in your hands, but also an excellent performer in shaving. For the occasion, I wanted to use my beloved Floïd Blue aftershave, now unfortunately discontinued and this is not a good news.

True to its name, today's SOTD was nearly effortless:
Maggard MR1
Astra SP (2nd shave)
Maggard London Barbershop sample pressed into Anchor Hocking glass bowl
Maggard Eucalyptus Pre-shave
Whipped Dog synthetic brush (latest generation)
Gentleman Jon alum block
Aqua Velva Ice Sport
Very near BBS results with WTG, XTG, and ATG under the jawline only.
Just a word here about the brush: I had owned a WD synth from a couple of years ago, and was not terribly impressed. Earlier this year, Larry started using a new synthetic knot, and it's just great. So great that I sold both my Plissons. The WD is 90% as soft as the Plisson, but with just enough added backbone for me. YMMV, of course, and I know guys who wouldn't trade their Plissons for anything. The WD is more my style.
Oh, and the London Barbershop paired perfectly with the AV Ice Sport.
