Da Vinci uono vs. Kent

I'm looking at purchasing one of the above. Does anyone have experience with Kent or Davinci brushes ? Would appreciate feedback please

I have owned a few of each and the only one that remains is my Da Vinci 296. While the Kents (BK2, BK4, BK8 and BK12) were of very high quality, the BK2 (Pure Badger) was too scratchy and the others while very soft tipped (seriously very soft) were too floppy for my preference. In the Da Vinci brushes I have owned the 296 and 291, the 296 is soft-tipped with moderate backbone while the 291 was similarly soft, but a bit big and because of the loft combined with the larger knot was harder to control for my face lathering tendencies.

What do you prefer in a brush? Maybe the above information can help or maybe I could give you some more relevant information based on your ideal characteristics.

Thanks, blz. I would prefer something soft but no too floppy that will hold water and whip up a nice lather whether in a mug or bowl. Not too big as my hands aren't hughe but I guess sort of average size. I currently own a Parker best badger, a art of shaving pure badger and a semouge 1800 boar. They are ok, but none really "thrill" me that much. I'd like a brush that will make me go"wow" when I lather
thanks, again

You can read the reviews of the 290 and 293 brushes I wrote a while ago

Both are extremely soft, superior brushes. My Da Vinci may be a bit denser, and I prefer the Da Vinci handle shape, but the Kent BK8 handle material is nicer, both are World Class. Either would be an excellent choice.
