Looks like it worked
Seeing the moose pic makes me a little sad. Hopefully it was one that died of natural causes and not one a hunter shot but couldn't track down.

I would call this one a draw.
The short story ---------- A trapper in the great white north came up missing and could not be found.
Forward 5 years ---- The trapper and the Moose were found together.Guess the trapper didn't have a enough gun to do the job quick enough an the moose got him before it died.
True or not, I don't know. I was told the picture was taken in 1926.

Yeah, looking closer I now see the human skull.
Moose can be fearsome. When we would go rabbiting, we always carried a few slugs for the 12 gauge just in case a bull got mad. It wouldn't stop him, but might give him enough headache to go away and buy us a few seconds.
