I picked up both versions of Barbasol aftershave yesterday at Winn-Dixie grocery store. Cost $3.00 and I figured even if it's bad it wouldn't be any great loss. The green version smells like one of my favorites, Skin Bracer, the Pacific Rush or blue version is different. And it is the one that really caught my attention after the first use. I tried it last night after my shave and came out of the shave den. The wife was coming down the hallway to do laundry and when she passed she stopped and said,"What's that smell?"
Being married for many years now and being wise I said; "What smell are you referring to dear?"
And she said; "that wonderful manly scent on you!" Well this in turn led to other discussions and actions which not only suprized me, but left me remembering all those silly 1970's TV commercials for Hi-Karate and other scents. I put the stuff on again this morning and the effect was just as pleasing. I think I may have found my favorite scent so far. In my scent collection which ranges from $3.00 standbys to $156 dollar fashionable new scents nothing has had the effect that this humble $3.00 scent.
