Did I ruin my strop?

I went to put white strop paste on the linen side of my strop this morning and mistakenly put on Dovo yellow paste which is a strop conditioner for the leather side. It was too early in the morning and still half-asleep I rubbed it in good before I realized what I was doing. I tried to squeegee it out by rubbing the linen briskly with a towel but the linen is still slick as grease. Do you think the conditioner will eventually break down or is the thing ruined?

I am betting a simple green soak and a delicate cycle wash and you will be back in business.

What about taking inspiration from dry wash: CAREFULLY (meaning outdoor, far from any source of ignition, wearing appropriate protections for hands, eyes, body and lungs), soaking the linen with a light solvent (alcohol, lighter fluid etc) and soak the juices with paper towel ?? Repeat until the strop is not greasy. Dispose of all wastes in an appropriate/safe manner.
