SOTD "Shaving on a Budget" Theme Week 23-29 March 2015

Gentlemen,

Welcome to Spring. This week's theme challenges you show what a great shave can be had without breaking the bank. Many here switched from cartridges, in large part, to escape the ever escalating cost; then stayed for the great shaves (and the camraderie). My shave today, while costing little, was as close and comfortable as I could get at any price.

Next week, the theme will be "Luxury Shave". This is to acknowledge that while many came here to save some money, they came to find the hobby can lead in the other direction.

Aftershave: Stirling North A/S

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard). I will also Face Lather,I will wipe face off with Ice Cold Wet Wash Cloth. I will be shaving with Cold Water. Hopefully it will result in another DFS-BBS, with "No Nicks or Weepers".

The Tiki Frosted Woodlands is a custom blend that I had Amanda make for me last year. I provided the EO's I wanted in the blend for a fall/winter soap and she came up with an awesome combination. I have nine Tiki Bar Shave Soaps, 3 custom blends made for me and I consider the Frosted Woodlands the best out of all of them. As for the PSO, it is my homemade blend using the same EO's/absolutes from the Shave Soap but I made the mistake of blending it all together in the peak of my sinus infection and made it stronger in aroma that the soap. Now I just need to come up with an aftershave.

Coming off the three-month restraint, I dropped my SCS Neroli/4711 shaves and went back to my benchmark shave:
