Advice on next shaving move...

Hello,

I decided to switch to a DE Razor a few weeks ago... I went and bought myself a weida 9306C which I've been using for a few weeks now and I watched a few of mantic 59 videos on YouTube.

I like to shave just before I shower, as I find the hot water smoothes my skin afterwards as it fills irritable from the shave. So I boil some water up, add a bit of cold water and then splash it on my face and use a face cloth as well to hydrate the hair/skin.

I'm still not finding that it shaves 'close' enough... so I'm wonder if I should consider a more 'aggressive' razor (I like the idea of an 'old school' razor of eBay)? Or maybe some different blades (I'm using the ones that came with the razor)?

Also, I'm currently using shaving cream from a 'can'.

Any advice or tips would be really good.

personaly, it depends on the finish you get,
my merkur vision with merkur blades or red personas dont give me BBS on adjustable setting 0, i have to step up the agresivity, but while using IP blades, i get that BBS no problem, without having to increase agresivity,

you should mention what blade you used,
