What's new

Erskine Bakelite Hex

I got this handle a while back in a lot of old brushes, the rest of which were nothing to write home about, but this one turned out to be worth the price of admission. It's an Erskine, with no #s or other model identification, but from its construction and materials it appears to be pretty old. I set it with a 20mm TGN finest at 44mm loft. It is a smaller brush, but as one would expect with the TGN finest knot, it performs really well. I especially like the hourglass shape with the hexagonal Bakelite base; besides looking very cool, it provides a great grip and feel in the hand. Thanks for watching!

That's really beautiful. The Erskines have been catching my eye lately. They have great form and many of them seem to have held up well through the years. They sure look nice all dolled up like this one!

Another beauty for sure - love your loft settings and think that you do such a nice job with these vintage handles.
