Default What do Sheratons run for these days?

I've developed a new interest in open combs, and looking through the wiki, the Gillette Sheraton caught my eye. I couldn't find one on eBay (at least not listed as such), so I was wondering what these razors go for? I know the Fatboys sell in the 30s and 40s, but didn't know how expensive a Sheraton would be.

The Sheratons are nice looking razors. I've seen prices for these all over the map based on the usual Ebay randomness. But for a first Gillette open comb experience I would go with a NEW. Here's why:

    * They are kick ass shavers with a loyal following. A lot of folks have "sounded off" on these compared to the Sheraton, which is less common.
    * You'll find a lot more NEW's to choose from so you won't spend as much time looking for one and the price will be a lot lower. With patience NEW's can be pulled from "the Bay" or B&B at very reasonable prices.
    * If you go with a NEW look for a thick handled model - it is less prone to cracking.

Good luck. If you score a nice Sheraton post some pics!

I actually have a NEW coming to me in the mail - a 30s model, I believe it is the thick handle variety - and it looks like I am going to lose a ball-end New on eBay right now.

I've seen them go for $25 - 50 in good shape without case, and $50 - 125 in the case, also in good shape.

Yeah, I lost out on the ball-end New! Oh well, maybe my thick-handle NEW will be there when I get home! I'm curious to see how an open comb performs.
