Glass Dip Pens for Iron Gall Ink?

I recently purchased a glass dip pen to use with iron gall ink. I figured that's one way to get the benefit of using inks that might damage or stain fountain pens. Any thoughts?

Well, iron gall inks haven't stained or clogged any of my pens yet. I wouldn't worry about it. Some other inks ... never again!

The glass pens feel strange to me, there's no give.

There's no need to fear modern iron galls, but they do need a bit more care. You don't want to leave the ink to dry in your pens for weeks on end. I've not had any staining issues with any IG either.
