Illinois Razor Strop #127

I'm needing a new strop. I like the looks of this "Illinois #127 strop and wonder if any one else has used one. Next question is latigo leather OK for stropping? I've read good and bad about it and I need to hear from the experts. I'm getting my new/old razor back from Bayomontate this week and I want to be ready to care for it properly!

I have the Illinois Razor Strop: It's a good strop for less that forty dollars. I found mine on the Bay an it has linen as the second stropping component.

I have an older 127...works fine. Never cared for the draw on latigo but they work fine as well.
Good call getting your razor honed by bayamontate, you're in for a treat.

The 127 will be what I pick up when this year's sabbatical finishes (or if I fail). I made this one this morning to help me until then....

Yes, jeans cut 5" wide, then folded (no overlap) and ironed so it met in the middle of the back. Lightly stitched just to keep it together. Seems okay so far.
