Default Did we know Gillette made US Wilkinson Sword?

Apparently they do, or did, and for a while now. Did we already know this?

That's odd. The last I knew, or thought I knew, Wilkinson Sword and Schick were the same company.

Yeah, i saw that in connection with wilkinson in Europe. I wonder if Gillette owns their US holdings and Schick owns their European? In any case, I wish they would do a reissue of the sticky. Great looking razor, but I would never pay its going rate on Ebay...

OK, so here is what I figured out because I am bored.

Gillette did own part, but was ordered to sell their stake in 1992. (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpag...52C1A964958260)

Then wilkinson was purchased by the same company that owned schick, who eventually sold both to Pfizer. Recently, Pfizer sold both to Energizer.

Are they old? If not, then frankly I have no clue how to add that to this picture.

Schick = Wilkinson Sword in (Western-) Europe. I am guesiing they use the Wilkinson Sword name because its a well known British brand name.
