Ever Ready 836A

Here's my most recent restore, an Ever Ready 836A. When I first looked at this, the lighting wasn't very good and I thought it was black. It wasn't until after I bought it and got it out into natural light that I realized that it was actually this awesome blue. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good:thumbup1:

I don't have an in depth knowledge on Ever Ready models and timelines, but this is clearly an older brush. The hourglass base is solid, and the blue top piece is a thicker, more dense material, as opposed to the thinner plastic of the newer ERs. I set this one with a Virginia Sheng 20mm silvertip at 46mm loft. It makes a really nice smaller brush, which I prefer. I have used the VS silvertip knots on a couple of other brushes, and I like them a lot. I've found them to compare very favorably with the WD silvertips and the TGN Grade A silvertips.

Very nice brush - love the knot depth, the color and the feedback on those VS silvertip knots as compared to the WD and TGN.
