Rubberset model numbers - Post your numbers here

I don't believe so. The ad says "Ebonized Handle", which to me means painted black as opposed to made with ebony wood. At the bottom of the handle it looks brown where the paint has worn.
Sorry, I had looked at Mike's stats for this brush and typed my reply before looking closely at the ad - you're right, "ebonized", which is probably marketing-speak for black paint.

Right, it should had said ebonized. It is a painted wood, I did not sand it down to say for sure, but it is a hard wood, maybe beech or ash, or maple and painted black.

Good catch. Didn't even notice the usernames in this thread.

Here are some more brushes that were made in Canada that he can use for his website and use for the wiki.

The 2 brushes on each side are both 20mm knots and the one in the middle is 24mm

Great website Bladeshark! I'm surprised I didn't come across it sooner.
Well it looks like my travel brush is either a B-19 or 371. Honestly I'm amazed that they made them as early as 1917 at that quality, I really thought it was from the 1950's sometime.
I would love to find or see the 250 with a bone handle.

I've seen a number of Rubberset ads that lists the wooden handles as having been made of "boxwood". I don't know how widespread it was but it is certainly another possibility.

Wow that bone handle is quite impressive, thanks for finding it.
I haven't heard much about them so I suppose they must be pretty rare.

Left to right: 200-2, 200-3, 200-4 - note how much thicker the -3 handle is compared to the others, particularly at the ring below the ferrule and the neck immediately below that ring.

Wife and I went out for a drive to Canon City & Florence, CO antiquing today. For those who don't know, Canon City is home to the Royal Gorge, while Florence lays claim to Super Max, the Unibomber, the Blind Sheik, and 17 antique stores. Came home with another 400-3 (for a VERY nominal fee!), and these 2 gems that I need help identifying:

224 (?)
Ferrule ID: 21.5mm
Handle height: 65.4mm
Total height: 113.9mm
Handle: Celluloid
Ferrule: Alberite
Hair: Boar
Weight (with knot): 30g

N52 (?)
Ferrule ID: 20.2mm
Handle height: 66.1mm
Total height: 105.7mm
Handle: Ebonized wood
Ferrule: Alberite, white
Hair: Boar
Weight (with knot): 37g

For size comparisons, here they are next to a 200-2, 200-3 and 200-4:

I'll post separately for advice on how to repair the shattered Alberite ferrule on the black handle.

Picked up 2 more Rubbersets in the wild today:

Rubberset 2
Ferrule ID: 21.2mm
Handle height: 80.1mm
Total height: 127.9mm
Handle: Wood
Ferrule: Alberite, black
Hair: Boar
Weight: 45g

The ferrule looks to have been heat damaged, so it makes the model number designator a little hard to read:
$100_1457.jpg

400-4
Knot diameter 25 mm
Loft: 67mm (vs 61mm for the -3)
Overall: 147 mm (vs 142 for the -3)
Weight: 77 grams (vs 73 for the -3)
Handle: Aluminum
Ferrule: Aluminum
Hair: Boar

I was thinking there was a Rubberset brush with an Ivory or maybe Bone Ferrule, but can not find it now.
