room for both?

Don't know your family situation, but I would be very upset if my father -in-law saw fit to teach my sons these kind of things (my father died several years ago, so I can't say how I'd feel if it was him). If he's in the picture I'd advise discussing things with your grandsons father first. I'd imagine from how you seem through reading your posts that you've probably thought of this already and taken the appropriate action, but I'd feel remiss if I didn't mention it.
Sound advice indeed. My daughter is a single mom, so this responsibility will fall squarely in my lap, that is unless something changes between now and then. She is seeing a guy who is a pretty good guy. Not sure where that is going just yet.
