I bought a Wade and Butcher half hollow ground straight yesterday. Its in pretty decent condition but the blade will need a little more work than just a normal hone. There are two very tiny areas on the blade that are nicked. The front of the blade closes further to one side and the tang pinning feels a little loose. I would really like to retain the original bone handle as it has character. The original owner shallow carved his name in one of the scales a long with a number. I would like it repinned and made shave ready. Possibly blade clean up/ polishing if its not to much more. Please recommend someone who you would trust to do this type of work.
