Christmas Music

This is my Christmas gift to August West.

May the Lord have mercy on my soul.

I heard two good ones on the radio yesterday. One a classic by Charles Brown, and the second with so many double entendres my oldest son (he's 17) and I couldn't stop laughing.

I can't find the song I heard yesterday, so let's go with this classic by Charles Brown:

And then "Trim Your Tree" by Jimmy Butler

Finally, let's not forget about Charles Brown and Bonnie Raitt singing together:

Favorite song? Rusty Chevrolet by Da Yoopers. The rest? Depends on mood. Right now I'm listening to The Messiah, but other times I can't Handel it.

Ooh. "Dominick" is a bad one.

Well. Cheech & Chong's "Santa Claus & His Old Lady," for a certainty.

Kinks' "Father Christmas."

ah. The Mannheim Steamroller new age CD's ... bright and happy; not associated with Christmas pasts.

Just got the "Jewel" one; Homer, Alaska's pride. Haven't heard it yet.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the best Christmas song of all time! Kirsty McCall and the Pogues, Fairytale of New York!

I'd post a video of it but I'd probably get banned for some of the lyrics!
