I always had trouble with my multi blade shaving systems and irritated skin etc etc. I got interested in using a DE after reading an article on the web. Found a nice Gillette Fat Boy on Ebay and I am starting to get the hang of it! I also got some nice shaving creams and a brush and one thing is for sure, will never go back to those icky foam-in-a-can or anything that is aerosol propelled stuff!
