I've got 3 vintage Gillette razors and was wondering what the plating finishes are? Also, would the base materials be brass or pot metal? Please see my signature for the list.

The one possible exception could be if the the early 1950 Super Speed was an early 1950s U.S. Black Tip Super Speed.
The answer then could range from Aluminum, Brass or Steel base.
But if you are asking about an actual 1950 Super Speed then yes , Nickel over Brass.

Yeah, the Super Speeds are both made in the USA and the early 1950 is a regular 40's style Super Speed (PACKAGE stamped on the inside)
The 1930's Canadian fat handle Tech (triangle slots) is brass and nickel too?

Another exception would be the blue tip Superspeed, which has an aluminum handle.
