1955 Aristocrat?

I just picked this up today for $20. The case is a little funky, but the razor is pretty darn nice. Very little plate loss on the side covers and center bar. I cant seem to find any information about it. It seems to be a Gillette Aristocrat, but it is marked as being produced in 1955. On the B&B wiki, it is noted that the Aristocrat was not produced in the US after 1951. Any help would be appreciated!

The Dating page only mentions the President ('53-'55). But if you click on ''President'' ( which was the rhodium plated version), you'll find the link to the Diplomat, the gold plated version as you have.

I didn't click on the president link, because I knew it was rhodium. I guess a little more digging would have got it! Now to try and redo the bottom portion of the case.

It's pretty easy to spot the Diplomat because of the knurling.

^^ Yup. None of the Aristocrats has the two knurled bands, one or the two of them are smooth, unlike the Diplomat.
