Evening folks! Hope you guys are enjoying the beautiful fall weather right now (unless you're in south Texas
) . I had the pleasure of trying out Nocturne by the famous Barrister and Mann shop for the first time (thank you gagibson86). Get ready for another rave review for B&M soaps because HOLY CRAP this soap kicks all sorts of ***.
First of all the scent, the scent is apple porn. nough said....... if you love apple or like apple in the very least you WILL love this soap, cold and straight out of the very handsomely labeled tin the scent is without a doubt the nicest apple scent you can find, i didn't get much of anything else other than straight up apple but once lathered the scent just elevates and you get subtle hints of cinnamon and it just smells as if you're outside smelling a fresh, perfectly ripened apple, and its a beautiful day, and its just absolutely amazing.
The latherability and performance, as expected was second to none. Literally within seconds of my Muhle Synthetic hitting the puck loads of beautiful suds started sticking to my brush! i even got a nice lather going on the sides of the tin. I went into a bowl lather and i quickly found beautiful, gorgeous, slick and thick yogurt in my bowl that felt incredibly nice once i worked it in my face.
The shave itself was amazing, i only trimmed my cheeks but man it was so smooth my Dubl Duck just glided right thru and my face felt as if i wasn't shaving at all! The post shave was great as well, my face felt clean but not in the least bit dry.
The Final Verdict. If you love apples or seasonal scents you need to give this soap a try if you haven't already, this bad boy scores a solid 10/10 in my book and its become one of my instant favorites, im gonna start stocking up before they stop putting them out!
