I thought I'd give this thread a bump.

Aside from the Badger and Blade podcast what are you guys listening to now? I've spent some fine hours listening to some of the suggestions while waiting for appointments and while stuck in traffic.

"Decoder Ring Theatre" for new adventure and detective stories in the manner of 1/2 hour Old Time Radio classics. http://decoderringtheatre.com/
Feed is at http://decoderring.libsyn.com/rss or (for iTunes) http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=79497721&s=143455 .
There are something like 200 episodes of "Adventures of the Red Panda" and "Black Jack Justice".
Skip the first six, and start with "Red Panda Adventures (01) - Riddle of the Sphinx". Listen to a couple dozen episodes before going back to the "Original Universe" episodes.

Our now Moderator AugustWest had a link to a collection of amazing size that included old time radio shows. Darned if I can find it just now. Fun to listen to things my parents used to talk about. My father was born in 1919 (long passed now) and would talk about The Shadow. Mom would mention Fibber McGee's closet.

If you like Astonishing Legends you should give Thinking Sideways and Lore a listen. And for some hilarious takes on history, try The Dollop.

Season 2 of Invisibilia sure was a huge letdown. It was nothing like Season 1; it was more like a knockoff of This American Life.

I've been enthralled with podcasts for the past few months. 95% podcasts 5% radio when I'm in the car.

Crimetown is at the top of my list right now. I enjoy it mainly because it's a fact based story of crime in an American city. Just fascinating hearing true stories of crime.

Welcome to Crimetown, a new series from Gimlet Media and the creators of HBO’s The Jinx. Every season, we’ll investigate the culture of crime in a different American city. First up: Providence, Rhode Island, where organized crime and corruption infected every aspect of public life. This is a story of alliances and betrayals, of heists and stings, of crooked cops and honest mobsters—a story where it’s hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys. Hosted by Marc Smerling and Zac Stuart-Pontier.

Right after that is Stuff You Should Know - Just two guys telling you stuff you should know. I think I enjoy the two dudes friendly banter more than the stuff you should know.

Tell Me Something I Don't Know
is a new one and it's pretty cool. It's a live game show (sort of). Where they have a panel of "celebrities" and the audience tells them something they don't know, like a random but interesting fact about something. They try to guess what it is by way of clues before the reveal.

Then some podcasts that I generally "mark as played" more than actually listen to them - RadioLab, HumaNature, Serial, The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe.

I also vote for Art of Manliness. He covers diverse and interesting topics.

If if you like history, check out Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History. He covers recent topics from the news and fleshes them out a bit more, looking for cause and effect and human motivation/behavior. Really interesting especially if you like his books.

I'm a big fan of Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast. Hes one of my favorite comedians and he just rambles about stuff for an hour. Its one of the few podcasts that I never miss.

I've downloaded Crimetown and should be giving it a listen.

I've been listening to "In the Dark", which is a Serial-type look at a child abduction that happened back in 1989. The case was just solved a few months ago, and it's an interesting look at the investigation.
