Portland Razor Co Kraken

I was in the market for a spiked point and did a comparison of Hart, Aust and Portland Razor Co, (PRC). I opted to purchase a Kraken with custom Padauk scales based on my reactions to the inquiries made to the three companies. I found Scott to be a far better communicator and his recommendations clear and smart.

The he process took about three weeks from order to delivery, ( I reside outside the U.S.). I'm very impressed with the craftsmanship of the razor. The edge is the best of any razor I own and it truly is shave ready. My first pass gave me the best shave I've had with a straight. The razor fits my hand perfectly and the result is a smooth and natural stroke.

I'm pleased with my decision to go with PRC and I look forward to working with Scott again.

It it is a 6/8, but it feels more maneuverable than my Boken 6/8, and much less drag.

You our came close...

Every time I think I have my SRAD under control I read another review of a PRC razor. My bank account is groaning.

I love mine. I ordered a second within a week of receiving the first!

I'm definitely considering a custom PRC 7 or 8/8ths as my next purchase. My Fili #14 Sub Cero only arrived in the post this afternoon and I'm finding myself drooling over one of these bad boys already.lol
