SOTD "St. Sue Auction Winnings II" Theme Week 10-16 Nov 2014

Gentlemen,

Let us know what you're shaving with this week. If you were one of the members that generously supported our breast cancer fundraising efforts, show us the auction items that you outbid everyone else for. We'd love to see what you ended up with and to extend our gratitude.

Next week, we're going to try a "Pet" themed week. I'm hoping I can get either my cat or dog to hold still long enough to get a picture. If not, it will time to be creative.

Today was a back-to-my-teenage years shave. Great lathering, and great scent. Avon WC was my first aftershave.
I will post another SOTD this week with different auction winnings.
Looking forward to great photos!

No Sue Auction winners, darn it; lost on every bid. Another abbreviated midnight shave, skin on neck still inflamed.

Hot shower, 4711 soap, Earthly Delight herbal shampoo, whiskers included
Fatboy, set at 6
WD ST restored vintage Floris brush
Utilemud bowl
D. R. Harris Arlington soap, sample
Alt-Innsbruck AS, sample

Love Arlington, but not the classic Cologne scent I am looking for. Used, not just sniffed, Alt-Innsbruck. Interesting. A little herbal/medicinal, but pleasant enough.

Two days and I think I've drawn a conclusion! The brush is not working for my face, though it whips a mean lather! It's been so long since I used I forgot why I stopped. now I know. As for the Yuma, it shaves well, WAY more mild than I anticipated, and leaves me no irritation. BUT, those considered, there's an unevenness to the blade, the height gaps on both sides, that results in me going over too many spots over and over again to 'level' out the shave. A good experiment none the less, and a cool little handle I may use for my Old Type. I think I'll be nice to my face for a few days and return to the comfortable Weishi. I must say that little bugger really grew on me, and loosening the blade just a touch keeps it perfectly 'effective'. But for today...
