1962 Slim

Well, I just got what I think was a pretty good deal on eBay. I was going through slapping some fairly low maximum bids on Slims earlier today, not thinking I was going to get any of them as I've seen some of them go for crazy prices lately. Well I got one for the princely sum of $12.50. It doesn't look like it's in great shape, but certainly usable. 62 Slim

Right now I've got a 1954 (I think it's a '54, date code Z1) Superspeed and a Merkur Progress and I go back and forth between them randomly. I'm able to get a much closer shave with the Progress (usually set between 4 and 5) but the Superspeed is just so smoooooth. What can I look forward to with the Slim? I like Dorco blades in the Superspeed, but much prefer Derbys in the Progress. Can't wait to see what works for me in the Slim!

I think all the people on vacation for spring break, held down prices. I was watching a slim that went for $6.99 early in the week. I thought I better get into the game. I bought a slim plus a polishing cloth and a Valet razor for $10.43. I should get it Monday or Tuesday.
