burlap has piqued my interest lately , i've made a strop out of some tightly woven material i purchased at a upholstery shop here in missouri.i have boiled it and soaked it and succeded in removing any oder and or oily residue.i am still observing its effect on my daily shavers edge.any body else working with this material? [emoji4]

material used is 3-1/4 wide by 33 inches.
I have tried it and its was good, till I found the hemp.

ahh , i am looking forward to my hemp arriving next week i hope [emoji1] did you boil it and use vinager as i did on this burlap?
nope, used bleach and water dried it in the dryer on warm with a dryer sheet

Well so far i have had an increase in my hair hanging test and under my 60x loupe the observable edge seems more polished and cleaner than my cotton strop achieves.of course this may not mean much but i feel it is a keener edge than yesterdays.salute.cam. ymmv.
