Tabac today. Nuff said! I loaded the ER Silvertip for 20 seconds and got enough lather for 3+ passes. Israeli Viking’s Sword still in the Slim. Great smooth, close, nick free shave. I finished with Tabac.

just when i was feeling at the end of my rope, and wondering what i'm missing, i turn in a good shave and feel a little inspiration or something to propel me forward. last shave was brutal, like a bad halloween movie, but not fake, sadly. i was really pondering, was it technique, gear; i was wandering in the dark and very frustrated. the cuts were superficial, to be sure, but i'm no masochist, i really love my face and neck, so it was with some doubts i proceeded. turns out, got a dfs, and no nicks whatsoever. i think my lather was too dry or thin last time, because my face was slick the whole shave, markedly so by comparison. there are so many variables to a great shave, that i think i luck into them every so often, and mostly struggle, but i suspect i am learning something through all this, like how to take black and whites with my cell phone. here's to close shaves!
