Chai Tea. What are your thoughts?

I like chai tea. The KCup Bigelow.

I never take tea with any flavorings or additives. They only mask the flavor of the tea.

I quite like Oregon Chai. A staple in my household.

I have never made it at home, but have enjoyed it while traveling as a change of pace.

I love chai tea. And chai lattes. And dirty chai lattes. And iced chai lattes. I don't really consider it regular tea. It's its own unique thing.

Each has to do what the individual prefers but the spices should complement the base tea -- not overpower it.

This may be sacrilegious here, but are there any good instant chais or chai tea bags I could buy online?

Typically Yamaya or Kaldi.

I've found the selection varies greatly per store. Don't know why but Iwate always has the good stuff and Miyagi only gets the dregs.

There is a place in Sendai station that sells a bunch of foreign teas as well, Jupiter.

Think we get the dregs as well! Never seen any in several Yamaya stores or the one Kaldi within reach!

Don't like it. Too many spices and too hard to pronounce.

I bought some decaf spiced chai bags made by Stash Teas at Whole Foods and I use it to make sun tea. Not too bad, better than drinking plain water all day.

Chai means tea in lots of other languages. Chai tea always struck me as redundant.

I rather enjoy it. It has become one of my Starbucks' staples, and recently I'm having pumpkin added in.

I find spices in tea to be rather unsavory but I do keep trying it once in a while in the hopes that one such chai will hit the spot.

I just bought the same Stash tea, it was $2 at the local grocer.
It is pretty good, very well balanced and I add 19 grams of sugar to my mug, delicious.

I drink Chai all the time. I find the Oregon stuff ok, but I prefer to make it myself with a chai/black tea 50/50 mix. My girls love chai lattes in the winter with a little honey, vanilla and sugar added.
