I've used each once...Giovanni Pink Grapefruit/Pomegranate yesterday and Alba Botanicals Coconut Lime today.
I didn't much care for the Giovanni...the scent was faint, faint...gone!...and the stuff looks odd, almost creepy...I thought the consistency was strange. Shave was OK, but I think it gummed up the razor pretty good.
Today I thought I'd try the Alba by way of contrast, and SWMBO says they always get highest marks on purity, good ingredients, absence of bad ingredients, etc. And, I liked it much, much better. Smoother to apply, not so sticky/gunky, easier on the razor/cleanup, very pleasant shave. It's weird shaving with this stuff though...no lather at all...it almost looks like there's nothing on your face! $4.75 for 8 oz. at Natural Grocers/Vitamin Cottage...now on sale. Comes in unscented, too, and some Mango/something-or-other.
In fairness, I was on day three of a Bluebird yesterday, and day one of a GSB today...that may have made a diff as well.
regards to all,
dave
