What IS that?

I got this item off Etsy where it was billed as a 'Gillette Tech' which I realized it was incorrect even though I really don't know what it is. I thought it might be an "Improved New Standard" when i saw these photos, but the handle is not the same:

See my pics and i can only add:
The base plate is stamped metal as is the cap, both the same gauge of metal.
There are no identifying marks
It is a 3 piece, not a knob-in-handle like a single ring although it is clearly meant to imitate that
The threaded center stud is pressed into the cap in an ovoid shape not round like a Gillette old type is (when you can see the hint of it through the wear of the cap)
If anyone has any thoughts, i'm curious as could be as to what this thang is.

i would of picked that up just for the handle. be cool all cleaned up, or replated and paired with a NEW lc or sc. my guess maybe german, really not sure.

at least handle seems to be silver plated - but what do i know...

I am guessing a German knock-off. Many of these were made. Load it up and tell us how it shaves.

I see some resemblance, but Nooo.. this one is much cheaper made than that. its all stamped, the head included. I mean.. aside from the handle its a real ***.
I'll try it.. maybe. . I donno.. maybe not.

Yeah, I thought it looked a bit like the Unknown Slanty as well...
