Whoo-hoo! I got 2 of the 4. I've been wanting new knives for my kitchen and am off to a great start. I can't wait to see what they can do. I suppose now I will have to get some stones and things to keep them sharp, right? Maybe a nice wooden cutting board? A knife holder instead of a drawer... oh no... another AD underway.

I'm afraid I'll be spending a lot more time here in the Mess Hall.

So the question is, how much is lunch with yourself worth to you?

Today, it will be $2.50 for the slice of pizza I'll have for lunch.

For the purposes of the auction, Joel will have to figure in the price of my limo to the airport, two first class seats to Paris (for me and my supermodel escort), and my private table at La Tour d'Argent.



Since it's a last minute thing, Taillevent would be an acceptable substitute.

Good think I didn't win Lunch with Ouch.

My plan was to fly him to Winnipeg in February when it's -40c, take him to The Red Top Drive-In and pick his brain about Japanese Kitchen Knives, forget my wallet, make him pay, then force him to shovel my driveway before heading back to the airport.



All kidding aside, it was a classic auction lot and I would be honored to make or have lunch with Ouch if the opportunity ever came up. [emoji106]1:

You raise a good point, Jay. The auction didn't specify who would have to pay.

Both Joel and I trace our ancestry to the inventor of the loophole, so it's even more complicated than that.
