Aluminum travel brush knot removal

I have an Edwin Jagger aluminum travel brush in pure badger. It is the floppiest brush I've ever used but I like the 3-piece design and I'd like to replace the knot if possible. Is the process used for a normal shaving brush applicable to this brush as well?

Pics would be helpful, since some of the travel brushes don't allow for a deeply set knot.

That's going to be a problem since there just isn't much roo for the knot. Probably why the knot is floppy to begin with. IIRC, TGN offers, or at least used to, some shorter lofted knots that might work. Worth checking out.

If you do reknot, that is one handle that should stand up to steam without damage.

You shouldn't have a problem if you do it the normal way, only be carefully when picking up the brush, use a damp towel
