more vintage then you can shake a stick at! I saw a car (bottle) full of Blend-7 last week at an estate sale. Never heard of it before.




I use the Sportsman bottles to hold Duru Limon and Eyup Sabri Tuncel Lavender - my day to day splashes!

Not a bad little starter collection. ;-) KJ, how do you like the Amway stuff, and some of the lesser know Avon products, like Brisk Spice, Everest and Sea Zone?

I love the Amway stuff. But Amway is a bit more personal to me. My dad worked there, and my grandpa was one of the first employess and worked R&D. He helped design some of the AS bottles. And I own one of the prototypes. Read HERE for the full story.

Brisk Spice: I didn't think it was possible for an AS to smell more like vintage Old Spice than Avon Spicy... but Brisk Spice does!
Everest: Awesome. A fairly potent, woodsy, pine needle, juniper kind of scent. I was on the fence at first, but now it's one of my favorites.
Sea Zone: My all time favorite. This was the first AS I had when I started shaving in high school. I can't get enough of it. Unfortunately there isn't as much of the 90s vintage stuff around as the earlier stuff, so it's usually on the more expensive side.

I just wanted to add, that Avon Bravo is quickly becoming one of my favorite AS of all time.

Most of my life I have very seldom used aftershave or cologne. I have a full bottle of Brut, the one with the metal tag and chain, and a plastic bottle of Brut, maybe 1/3 left. Since I began wet shaving again and joining this forum everything has changed, I now always use an aftershave or cologne after shaving.

Other than the pinaud ( was given to me), all were purchased with my wife along, I try some on and give it a few minutes then we decide if we like it or not.
This method has worked real good so far. The pinaud, it's an odd one, we both like the way it smells on me, I can smell the lilac, but there is another scent with it that I can't identify. So far I only have the "cheap stuff", I have trouble paying more than $15 for AS or cologne.
I would REALLY like to try some Sephora Marc Jacobs men, I know someone who uses it and was really fascinated with the scent, but it is quite a bit more than I've ever spent for an AS. Funny thing is that I would have no problem paying that much for a perfume for my wife, if it was something we both liked.

My grandfather sold Amway at one time, probably in the late 50's or early 60's. As a small child I remember plastic bottles shaped like an Amway van, they had bubble bath in them. To bad my grandmother doesn't still have any of them.
