EBay find

I found and won this item. I have a single ring already but I wanted to try out an old type with a heavier handle.

The handle is from a Tech ... and I am not sure if it is heavier than the standard ball end that came with the 20s Old Type.
At least those don't crack, nice find.

Yea I have a quarter pound handle I can try on it.

Got it today and cleaned it. It was mostly clean except for some ancient bits of dried up lather between the teeth. Hot water and scrubbing bubbles took care of that. I will post pics of it tmw morning. The so called heavy tech handle is lighter than the solid steel ball end handle that came with my tech.

IIRC these handles are not called Heavy Tech - rather Fat Tech.

Personally, I like to pair a Durham Duplex safety razor handle with a Gillette "Old Type" OC head. Makes a heck of a "Frankenrazor", IMO. Same handle is used for the Wade & Butcher Safety Razor...which was also, produced by Durham.
