Here is the completed brush from the above picture all ready for defunking and gift wrapping for a brother-in-law. It is cherry burl with a 22mm TGN boar knot.

This next one is Slippery Elm with a 20mm TGN boar knot for another nephew. It may be Red Elm but Slippery Elm sounds better.

The latest off the lathe has a Mesquite burl handle with a 22mm TGN boar knot set at about 50mm. Enjoy!

How about a barber's style brush? Figured Black Walnut handle with a White Birch burl cup. The 22mm TGN F2 Finest Badger knot required a 27mm hole in order to get it set with a loft of 50mm.

At long last, I completed a new handle for a good friend's Pillson synthetic that had a run in with a curious dog. I tried to duplicate the shape of the original in White Birch burl. CA finish.

This is a beautiful handle!

Jason, a.k.a. williamsja81, sent me a couple of pieces of wood to play with in the shop. One nice piece of ebony and a smaller chunk of buloke which strikes me as an Australian type of oak. Here are some progress photos.

Although the shape came out well, while gluing the pieces together, I failed to index the grain properly. The 22mm TGN boar knot is just there for looks. Jason will get to choose and install the knot in the 1" diameter hole.

It is now in the urethane bath where it will soak for a few days.
