Which razor should live in this case?

I have a case and no razor. What razor is supposed to live in this case?

I'd need to see the top of the lid to be sure. Could be a No. 15 (diamond herringbone), No. 47 (dotted), or No. 88 (smooth) case depending on the pattern (or lack thereof) on the lid.

Edit: If I were gambling just based on that one photo I'd guess it's a No. 15. The curved portion of the blade holder/razor rest looks wider like it wants an Aristocrat handle in there. Also, the No. 88 may not be a likely candidate without the diamond logo on the headliner.

The first thing that came to mind was an aristocrat, but I couldn't find anything similar on the bay.

No. 88 has that same type of flip-up blade holder. From 1934.

Here is the top picture.

I'm thinking either a Popular 47 from 39 or an Australian !5 (CB) from 48. The maroon case lining leads me in this direction although I suppose a 38 version of the 15 could have come in cases with blue or maroon or ??? lining.

Definitely a No. 15 case.

1950s British Aristocrat. The top cover and the flip-up blade holder are a match. The only difference is the OP's picture appears to have a red velvet lining and mr-razors' example looks to have blue vinyl.

Thank you for the info on the case. I bought a Red Tip SS which came in this case.

Now the tricky part is to get the razor.

I don't think I will be able to get the razor that belongs in this case too expensive.

Fortunately, there lots of homeless Aristocrats looking for a place to live ...
