Shutterbug's Official Record left out my OCtober 11 shave with the not-entirely-mythical OC Fat Handle Tech (although I probably deserved a few kicks in the ribs for my OC Tech bragging) ...
With that addition, I will be up to 31 razors for OCtober.

it's not official!!! Everyone has until Sunday to post finishing shaves...

correction: I had 5 shaves this month with the sc new.

Just wanted to say that OCtober was a fun event & practical too. It allowed me to 'bond' with my OC razor (Parker 26C) in a way I might not have done otherwise. I have become very, very comfortable with the Parker over the last month & will definitely be seeking out a couple of vintage or higher-end OC's. Thanks to eveerybody involved - Shutterbug57 , participants, photographers, stat-counters, spectators! This was a fun & very useful experience for me as a relative newbie, and has helped advance my comfort-level with wetshaving immeasurably.

Finally OC shaves for OCtober :
October 23rd: Used the Ball End again. Needed a quick shave today and this one didn't disappoint.
October 24th : Used the R41. Had some time today. Took the day off.
Out of town for the weekend, so used the little travel razor ( Hoffritz ) for the 25th and 26th.
October 27th - 30: 4 great shaves with the Ball End and a Feather blade.
October 31st : Final shave is with my R41. BBS baby.

This was kind of fun, but I wish I had another OC or two to rotate... Will have to keep a lookout for them in the wild....

OCtober was fun, gave me incentive to try my OC razors. I missed the last three days because I caught my wife's cold. Because I have other health issues I try to keep from catching colds, this is my first cold in almost three years and it kicked my a..

Great event for me to start with, especially since I only began wet shaving again about October 3. I've used a Tech, a Feather Popular, a Slim, a late 40's Super Speed and two OCs...the latter ones exclusively since I found this thread...an Old Style SC and a NEW LC. Even though I'm new at this, I find the SC really gives the very best shaves...I couldn't be more pleased with it. I shave daily, am on my seventh blade for testing (a Shark SC, after GSB, Bluebird, Feather, Lord and others) and am really having a great time, even without (yet) acquiring either a brush or proper soap/cream...all Barbasol and brushless creams for me, so far.

for your "bookkeeping" purposes, mark me down for I think four more shaves since my last post, all with the LC, as I was gluing the ends of the SC back on with marine epoxy...all better now.

I have 5 shaves with my merkur 12C barber pole handle. I had forgotten how heavy this razor feels, but the shave was just as good as I remembered. I have strayed a little from OCtober and used a different setup a couple of times. (Razor image taken from another B&B poster).

Starting to settle into a pattern of using the Remembering Sue Essential Brush and the Strop Shoppe Russian Tea along with the 12C.

I finished the month out using the same razor/brush/cream combination. Roughly 17 shaves for the month of OCtober.

Between the last two charts, it is clear that vintage razors are alive and well. The NEWs again were the most used followed by the Old Types.

Great information and I loved seeing everyone's razor collections. It was great fun and taught me allot about what I really like about shaving.

I am wondering if there is any information in the past about how many use a mix on open comb and safety bar razors?
