I checked this stone with a straight edge, It doesn't need lapping. It will get some conditioning with a cleaver but that's all. Plus chamfering the edges.

Very nice. I like the markings on the back. Dan's stones are normally pretty flat out of the box--or out of the ground in this case.
Very nice stone. The SB I got from Dan's was also flat out of the box. I'm sure they have a Mega lapidary machine.
