Polished Gillette Long Comb New

Someone on ebay seems to have a large supply of Gillette New
that they have "polished out" leaving just the brass razor.
They are selling these for a "buy it now" of $58.

You could get a NEW with a poor finish and send it out for gorgeous nickel plating for that price. At least that's what I did and came out ahead.

Seems a high price.

It is a very high price for something needing a replate. A polished head will not look beautiful after some use.

Interesting business model: Buy News with the plating in bad shape for $20 or so, spend 10 minutes with a buffing wheel and sell them for nearly 3 times what you paid.

Anyone buying one of these should buy a tube of Maas metal polish to go with it and plan on using it after every shave or two.

$58 for a stripped NEW? You gotta be kidding me.

I am not saying that $58 for a buffed New is good, but if someone wants to pay it, good for the seller.
