Simpson W3L restored.

Today in the mail I got two packages. One was from WCS with my B&B grey glitter brush and the other from Virginiasheng with a 22mm silvertip for a Simpson W3L I got at an antique mall a few weeks ago. Here they are side by side. Very similar knot shapes right now.



I opted to leave the lable or what is left of it. It was covered in crud when I bought it. Cleaned up pretty well.

That's a nice pair. Modern and classic together. Nice work on the Simpson.

I agree with leaving the label, it looks well loved now. If you haven't glued the knot in yet, I would mount it a little deeper or at least just set it with a small spot of silicone.

It is just sitting in it now. I think it will go lower as is. It is in kinda deep already.
