Straight Razor Acquisition Thread

Got this is nearly NOS condition Underwood Bradford Special Razor. Taylors Eye Witness stamp on back of tang. I'd say half hollow. Never used a blade with these specs all together before so it should be interesting. It feels meaty. Will be fun to hone, the steel seems to be gorgeous quality.

I've had a couple/few Taylors. Very old, good steel. Sheffield stuff, nice to hone.

My barber had three more for me to play with. Another customer of his brought them in to ask if he knew anyone who might be interested. W&B with "Celebrated Hollow Ground Razor" etched on the beveled tang, Franklin, Germany that may be too far gone, and a Genco that should clean up nicely. The Solingen etched blade "Friday" razor is a recent ebay purchase.


The next two I found at an antique store. A nice W&B with etched blade and a Geneva Pyramid.

My TI Bijou de France has arrived:

I have not done a restoration in a while, and this 13/16 Joseph Elliot wedge looked like a good candidate.

This custom razor from Joe Edson will soon be on its way and I should be shaving with it in a few days.

I got this as a pleasant surprise in a package yesterday.

Flea market find for $20. Cant wait to cut hairs with this one.

My very first fili arrived today. I've just shaved with it now and wow...just awesome. Now I need to get my hands on a #14

Picked up this le grelot p. hospital from member here ( thanks totorlekiller) this is only the 2nd str8 I have but will be looking to acquire more, my drawer is full of DE/SE's along with lots of brushes but I have for some strange reason a draw to str8's
