26th Wedding Anniversary

First off, congrats on the anniversary, OP!

I don't have any advice to add, but will be getting married a week from today, so I like reading the advice that the rest of you have to share. My fiancee and I are lucky in that both of our sets of parents are still together. My parents 35th anniversary is two days after our wedding day and er parents have been together for just over 28 years, so we have good examples of successful marriages coming from both sides.

If you allow me to combine total time married, I have over 27 years. 20 of those to the same damn woman and I wouldn't trade her for any other. (Though I'd be lying if I said that those few weeks a year when she and the children are away aren't like a vacation for me.)

As for what works, there are no secrets. It's just that most people don't want to do the work. But it's worth it when you do.
