My 1st BBS shave!

Another midnight shave. Bit of a plateau recently. Turned the Fatboy up to 6, used an Astra SP for the first time in my FB. First pass best yet. Touch-up on my chin-line and 1/4 of my neck = BBS. Very nice

Hot shower. Stirling soap sample on whiskers, plus Earthly Delight shampoo

Alum block only "bit" in two small places. Have I found the perfect shave? Nah, but really close.

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

I tried my CRSW sample of the “Classic” Savon #1 today. I loaded my brush for 30 seconds and had plenty of great smelling lather for 3+ passes. Along with the Gillette Silver Blue and the NEW SC, I got an excellent smooth, close, and nick free shave. I finished with Fine Platinum.

If anybody saw my post a few week ago about Penhaligon's English Fern, you may remember I wasn't a big fan of it's performance. For those who missed it, to sum it up

AlfredoT suggested I try mixing the crap stuff with a good unscented soap. This is where Nannys Silly Soap comes into it. I mixed 20g of the two as best I could using a bain-marie to test it out.



The result was very good. The soap performs well and still smells great too. Once I finish off another soap and have somewhere permanent to put this soap mixture I'll do the same with the rest of the English Fern and Nannys soaps.

Sunday shave has always been a special shave.
